Changing the password of your Frontier Communications Wi-Fi network is super easy. How? You just need to follow the 10 easy steps below and then you can easily change both the name and password of your Frontier Wi-Fi network.
Step1. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of your preferred browser
Step2. Input your username and password at the router login page and hit ok
Step3. Then click on the wireless settings tab and select Basic security settings from the left menu
Step4. Under Basic security settings, you need to fill the SSID field. The SSID is the name of your wireless network. You can find your SSID either on the back of your router printed on the white label or in the list of networks on your desktop.
Step5. After, typing the SSID of your wireless network, hit the apply button.
Step6. This will reboot your router, so you have to wait for the next 30 seconds to get back to your router settings.
Step7. After 30 seconds, click on Advanced Security settings and select the WPA2 option.
Step8. This will redirect you to the other screen where under the Authentication method field, you will have two options:
You can choose to continue with your default password of the network, which is written in the Default Pre-shared key field, or
You can create a new password under the Custom Pre-shared key field. But make sure that the password you entered is not a dictionary word, and includes both upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Step9. Once, you choose one of the two options, click on Apply button and the router will ask you permission to reboot.
Step10. Wait for the router to reboot and your password will be saved.
